Qualifications

Nanny qualifications can vary but the most widely recognised ones are detailed below. It is important to note that a nanny without qualifications but with significant experience can be just as suitable and should not be disregarded.

Because of our 35+ years experience within the early years sector, the majority of our candidates are fully qualified to a Level 3 status.

Qualified Nannies will hold a formal qualification. If from overseas, candidates need to obtain a certificate from UK Naric which qualifies their status in this country. Qualified nannies are also required to have at least 2+ years experience.

Experienced/Unqualified Nannies will have considerable experience within a private home and will ideally have some child-care qualifications.

Parent’s Help are generally unqualified with little experience but are looking to learn and develop their skills. They would not be required to have sole responsibility for the children.

• NNEB (National Nursery Examination Board)
• NVQ Level 3 early years care and education (City and Guilds)
• NVQ Level 3 in early years care and education (CACHE)
• Diploma of children’s services (Australasia)
• Children’s Care, Learning and Development (CACHE)
• SNVQ Level 3 (CACHE)
• Norland College & Chiltern College (Nanny specific colleges)
